MEET THE OWNER: When Stefanie Boebinger worked at Just Cupcakes, she found a passion in making delicious treats. And when the opportunity presented itself, she and her husband Corey, purchased the business in February, 2020.
Just Cupcakes became a family affair, with two of their four kids helping out in the business. Stefanie knew she would need to get creative to make her new business thrive during a pandemic so she focused on marketing the business through social media, offering delivery and curbside service, and even opened a table once a month at the Navy Exchange. People still had events to celebrate so it was important for her to have her delicious treats available.
Stefanie believes in giving back to the community and donated cupcakes to the hardworking front-line workers at CHKD, Sentara Hospitals, and to a weekly food rescue group that picked up leftovers every Saturday evening.
Just Cupcakes is NOT just cupcakes, they also offer custom cakes, scones, cookies, cakepops, brownies, vegan sticky buns, and so much more with flavors changing daily.
Now that restrictions are being relaxed, they are gearing up for bigger celebrations, weddings, and other in-person events. They will also offer more workshops on baking and decorating and have partnered with Board & Brush Norfolk, VA on a cookie tray workshop.
Look for Just Cupcakes at the upcoming Sunsets on the River at the Hermitage Museum and Gardens as well.
